A Conversation with Avi Dresner & Dr. Kimberly Allen

Avi Dresner, son of Rabbi Israel S. Dresner (known as “the most arrested rabbi in America” during the civil rights movement), will discuss his father’s legacy with Dr. Kimberly Allen, CEO of 904WARD, whose mission is to create “racial healing and equity through deep conversations and learning, trusting relationships, and collective action.”
5:30-6:30pm | View the exhibit “We Could Not Be Silent,“ which commemorates the events in June of 1964 when 16 rabbis (including Rabbi Dresner) were arrested in St. Augustine while working in solidarity with the local Black community as they strove to desegregate private and public properties.
