Resisting Hate, Repairing the World

Join us for an evening of shared learning and community care as we respond to the rise of anti-semitism present in our city.

At the center of the evening will be a community conversation about the work being done locally to counter hate through education, mutual respect, and truth. Guests may visit the Frisch Family Holocaust Memorial Gallery, including the current exhibition, Art of the Holocaust, the first and last half hour of the event, with the community conversation beginning at 6:00pm. Light refreshments will be served.

Program participants will include:

  • Matthew Hartley | Director, Interfaith Center, University of North Florida

  • Dr. Kimberly Allen | CEO of 904WARD, an organization helping to end racism so that everyone can thrive

  • Louis Post | Retired Psychologist, Second Generation Holocaust Survivor

  • Rebecca Pekarek | Teacher, James Weldon Johnson College Preparatory Middle School

  • Morris Bendit | Holocaust Survivor, Designer of the Holocaust Memorial

The Community Conversation will be facilitated by Hope McMath, Curator of the Frisch Family Holocaust Memorial Gallery.

There will be an ASL interpreter for the community conversation.
